TOWN REPORT LETTERS

Nominations papers are available for the March 13, 2026 SB Election. Papers are due back to the Town Office by noon January 12,. 2026,

Basic State Requirements (Title 30-A, §2526)

Age: At least 18 years old.Citizenship: 

A citizen of the United States.Residency:

 Must be a resident of the State of Maine.Voter Status: 

Must be a registered voter in the town where elected.

Key Duties & Skills Governance: 

Calling meetings, proposing budgets, setting policy, overseeing town functions.Public Service: 

Leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and availability to residents.

    Town of Thorndike is need of Community Involvement.

We have many committees that work hard to improve and protect the town. These meeting are usually just once a month; a Community grows with the participation from town folks.

Town Sexton - If you have an interest please letter of intent to Town Office Thorndike, Attention Sexton Position, P.O. Box 10, Thorndike, Maine 04986 

 Assist Code Enforcement Officer- this person will work directly with Dave Schofield who is now the Town Code Enforcement Officer. Training Classes are available for those who are not trained but have a strong interest.
